January Inspiration Challenge at Dudetime Doodles

This month's theme is...drumroll please...

anything *BUT* a card

I know.  I know.  Some of you are cringing at the thought.  "All I do is cards."  This challenge is designed to get you out of your comfort zone and thinking outside the fold...ahem, I mean dugout.  Okay, outside the box!! 

You will definitely want to run the bases and visit every design team member's blog today.  There are several tutorials on how these ladies created such awesome, one of a kind, out of the fold items.

Now the rules of the game:

1. Use the creations above to get your mojo moving.  Remember, anything BUT a card.

2. You are not required to use BDD images although it would make us really really happy and giggle a lot if you did!

3. MUST be a masculine themed card, you can use humor, innuendo, be a little naughty, sarcastic, but it has got to be for a DUDE!

4. Be sure to use the InLinkz to submit your creation.

You have one week to link up your projects.  We will post the TOP THREE WINNERS and the TOP BLOG WINNER right here on January 25th at 12 PM CST.

JANUARY SKETCH CHALLENGE

Hello and Happy New Year from Dude Time Doodles and your sketch challenge hostess, Tammy, extending a warm welcome to our third  Sketch Challenge. 

We are extremely pleased to announce that the very talented Lynn has joined our happy family and become a permanent design team member!  In addition, going forward, the sketch challenge has been changed to the first Wednesday of every month and you will have one week to complete your creation. 


This month, with love in the forecast, and in time for Valentine's day, to entice you into joining the Sketch Challenge, the design team is showcasing new images from Bonibleaux Designs  "Will" You Marry Me? He's on one knee and he brought the bling; Ride Like the Wind "Rocky" is decked out in his leathers, showing his love for his Momma and looking to take you on the ride of your life; Zeke Zorro the passionate Spanish lover and Putt-Putt Hearts, which are a great accessory to any or all of these images.

Hey Dude!!

Some exciting news for me... I've been accepted as a DT Member for the brand new Dude Time Doodles Challenge Blog...yippee!!!

Dude Time Doodles is a challenge site for all of your crazy "Dude" card needs. Artists from Bonibleaux Designs Digis are exclusively worked with to bring guy images and ideas for those hard to make cards for the "Dudes" in your life. Guys aren't about flowers and fluff. Guys are our heroes, our fighters, our beer chuggers and bug squashers. Dude Time Doodles and Bonibleaux Designs Digis have paired together to bring you Manly Man cards and gift ideas. An occasional froufrou image will be thrown in for the gals, but we are really all about the "Dudes" here.

I'm Still Here

just letting you know that I am still alive and kicking.... we have moved in to our new house and am in the process of selling our "country house"..the kids are back to school after 2 weeks holiday and I have been SICK so not much crafting getting done...but I am on the comeback trail :0)

am trying a new format for my Doodle Dragon Studio and Fab'n'Funky Challenges and putting these posts in pages dedicated to these fabulous challenges (link on sidebar), so please check them out there as they are still going strong and I would love to see you there...

FINALLY finished!!

well it's done! I FINALLY finished my 40 album, yay!!! I printed out and spent the day putting in the last 3 months worth of photos and then the journalling for the last 5, this was LOADS of fun and a great way to scrap over 240 photos...yup...I said 240!!! lol..most of these photos are mounted accordian style and have 2,3,4 or even more photos attached!!

the background to this is that I was having a hard time turning 40 so I made this to show myself that it wouldn't be that bad...and it wasn't...though I much prefer being 40 to 41...lol

Tori had a fab first day at Kindy the only tears were mine..lol and she's chomping at the bit so I better go get her fed and off to school. Nappy Cake

Here I am, back in Blogland... took my laptop to my son's so I wouldn't miss Dustin's Blog Hop and the Fab'n'Funky Challenge, only to find I had no service for my broadband up there and he has no net...

this is a photo of the nappy cake I made for my newest Granddaughter Lily's arrival...these are such fun to make... (and yes I have photos but they on on my family blog)

hope 2010 is shaping up well for everyone it is soooooooooooooooo hot here in Australia as we are in ANOTHER heatwave...

will catch up soon but as hubby is on holidays I have to limit my time online :( , lol

A Nice Surprise

Monica messaged me today and said she had a nice surprise for me on her blog so of course I hopped right over there to see what it was... and it's a great award...


Thanks Mon...She does such fab work so you should go visit her too! To receive this award I am supposed to write 5 things about myself so here goes.....hmmm....

1. I LOVE being a grandmother but didn't want to be called "Nan" so Maddison calls me "Mim"
2. That I need to lose a LOT of weight and am too lazy to do anything about it (hence all the exercise equipment downstairs gathering dust)
3. I'm a hoarder. We left our house fully furnished and moved into a rental. It's now looking as cluttered as our house after only 2.5 years.
4. I moved Tori's play equipment upstairs so I could still sit at my desk if she wanted to play.
5. My family means EVERYTHING to me yet my husband and I rarely see our extended families.

Now that I've had fun writing these things about myself, I'm going to "pass the torch" to five friends.

My Talented Daughter

well I think she is...lol...

My just turned 5 year old often sits and crafts while I'm at my desk and this is what made the other day...all by herself!!!

All the seats are stuck in and then she made the people to put in the seats...I LOVE it!!!

As always, she takes a keen interest in what I am doing and especially when I made a fairy castle recently, she then went on to make her own...

my favourite part of this is how she drew photos...

I love my kids to bits and just wanted to say how proud I am of my son Brent (and his fellow cadets) and the way they carried themselves and made a guard of honour at their friends funeral yesterday...Dave would have loved it...R.I.P
